IHC Offshore Systems provides world’s biggest Noise Mitigation System to protect sea life IHC Offshore Systems, part of IHC Merwede, is proud to announce it has been awarded a rental contract for the Noise Mitigation System NMS-6900. Dutch offshore contractor Seaway Heavy Lifting will operate the NMS-6900 during the installation of 30 monopile foundations for the Riffgat offshore wind farm off the north-west coast of Germany. The contract has been signed by Mr W van der Velde, Chief Technical Officer of Seaway Heavy Lifting, and Mr AA Kromhout, Managing Director of IHC Offshore Systems. Read the full story...

20110928 Results award 'Best Employer 2011'

In 2010 SHLE held an employee survey (medewerkertevredenheidsonderzoek) executed by Effectory. This survey resulted in an average score of 8,1 which seemed to be a good result, meaning that SHLE performs as a motivating employer.

With SHLE’s nomination for the title ‘Best employer 2011’ our thoughts by the results of the survey were confirmed. In total 50 companies with less than 1.000 employees were selected to win this prestigious title.

On Wednesday 28^th of September the award took place in Amsterdam. SHLE can be very proud we reached to the 11^th place (out of 50). Read the full story...

The HLV Oleg Strashnov successfully completed the installation of the four transition pieces as
scheduled, and returned to port to collect another load of transition pieces and foundation piles.
During the campaign, the HLV will shuttle between Vlissingen, the Netherlands and the Field,
installing 4 piles and 4 transition pieces at a time. In total, SHL is to install 71 transition pieces

De olie raakt op in de Noordzee. Werk aan de winkel voor de offshorebedrijven. Na ze eerst opgetuigd te hebben, moeten de olieplatforms nu ontmanteld worden. Opnieuw een groeimarkt.

Het Kraanschip doemt op als een fort dat waakt over de Zevende Petroleumhaven. Twee hijskranen, elk zo lang als de Dom in Utrecht hoog is, liggen gestreken op het werkdek. Na een hele zomer op de Noordzee ligt de Hermod voor onderhoud in de haven van Rotterdam. Click here to read the full article

Seaway Heavy Lifting has lined up its new monohull crane vessel Oleg Strashnov to carry out the remaining foundation installation work at the
317MW Sheringham Shoal offshore wind farm. The job covers 66 monopiles and 71 TPs, and replaces a contract previously held by MT Højgaard.

To date, it has worked primarily in the North Sea, Mediterranean and Middle East regions and has plans for expansion to Asia in the future. The new build is an impressive DP3 class heavy lift vessel and is one of the largest monuhull vessels ever built by IHC Merwede. The vessel’s most striking feature is its unique and patented dual draught hull design, combining a high transit speed with exceptional lifting characteristics for a monuhull design. The vessel’s key feature is the unique patented dual draught hull design, combining a high transit speed with exceptional lifting characteristics for a monohull design. Seaway Heavy Lifting’s offshore workhorse Stanislav Yudin continues its globetrotting ways, the crane vessel having recently sailed further eastwards to complete its first Southeast Asian assignments. David Morgan reports.
