IHC S-1200

The IHC S-1200 hammer is equipped with an 84 in pile sleeve that enables Seaway Heavy Lifting to drive piles of up to 84 in outside diameter directly. The hammer requires the pile to protrude at the end of driving by approximately 4.5 m. A front follower must be used where the driven pile is to be flush with the template or the jacket pile sleeve.

This hammer is a universal pile-driving tool for use in air or under water. The hammer generates an energy level of up to 1200 kNm. One advantage of this type of hydraulic hammer is that the energy applied per blow can be continuously adjusted from 5 to 100% during the piling operation. The hammer is computer controlled, which enables the operator to adjust the hammer’s performance parameters very precisely.
