Seaway 7, the Renewables & Heavy Lifting business unit within Subsea 7, is seeking to hire a HSEQ Engineer.

Seaway 7 provides project management, engineering, fabrication, heavy lifting, cable installation and decommissioning services for offshore energy infrastructure developments. Seaway 7 delivers these in a comprehensive array of contractual structures including EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Installation), T&I (Transportation & Installation), BoP (balance of plant) and integrated services to our clients in the renewables and oil & gas industries.

Seaway 7 is comprised of two companies:
• Seaway Heavy Lifting (SHL) which manages and performs the transportation and heavy lifting of offshore structures.
• Seaway Offshore Cables (SOC) which manages and performs submarine cable installation, trenching activities and related IMR services.

Our HSEQ department is responsible for the coordination of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality related matters on corporate and project level and we are looking for an experienced HSEQ Engineer (preferably experience as Environmental Engineer) who can join our team.

Key responsibilities:
• Actively promote our Incident and Injury Free policy (IIF).
• Define corporate and project related HSEQ risks.
• Ensure all incidents are properly notified, investigated, reviewed and followed-up.
• Conduct in-depth investigation and statistical analyses on incidents.
• Conduct 1st and 2nd party HSEQ audits both onshore and offshore.
• Coordinate and/or perform in-house training on HSEQ related issues and participate in any other company or department-initiated developments.
• Review client proposals and project HSEQ documentation.
• Act as focal point for clients with HSEQ-related questions.
• Perform HAZID and safety screenings.
• Track and trace decommissioning waste.
• Propose appropriate solutions in accordance with applicable legislation and policies.
• Manage the handling process of non-conformities from initiation to close out.
• Draft project documentation.
• Assure project HSEQ deliverables are in time, correct and complete.
• Support project execution, both onshore and offshore, including site inspections.

Capability profile / Qualifications:
• Minimum Bachelor level of education.
• NEBOSH, MOSHE or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years’ experience in similar position in the offshore construction sector.
• Experience in Environmental engineering and Environmental legislation with the purpose of obtaining approvals and permits for offshore decommissioning.
• Experience with removal, disposal remediation and environmental studies.
• Experience with permits for and regulatory compliancy with environmental impact assessment programs and decommissioning plans.
• Knowledge of HSE management, particularly for dismantling and disposal yards.
• Able to liaise with other departments, both on- and offshore, client’s representatives, (sub)contractors, suppliers, certifying and legislative authorities.
• Practical, analytical, accurate and problem-solving attitude.
• Able to liaise with department and company management.
• Used to working in project teams.
• Excellent command of English.
• Able to write reports in a clear and coherent manner.
